The Gideon Hixon Fund takes minority equity stakes in startup companies that fall under our IARE framework related to impacting the world of real estate. We are typically stage agnostic and look for management teams that have already demonstrated that they have the capability to build large and successful businesses.

We seek out businesses where we can add real strategic value and become more than just an investor. We are typically hands-on partners that bring 40+ years of investment and commercial real estate development expertise to the table. We work hard to offer both our network and experience to our portfolio companies and their management teams, with the hope that they see us as a trusted resource and someone they can always call when they need advice or support.
Fund Investments
The Gideon Hixon Fund invests in fund managers with demonstrated competencies in areas that affect the real estate market. We work closely with our partner fund managers to help provide access to our expertise, network, and guidance to help them succeed. We have served our partner funds in numerous ways including offering industry connections for portfolio companies, assistance with investment sourcing and analysis, side-by-side investing, serving on LP Advisory Committees, and even taking active roles in the General Partnership.

The Hixon Family currently has an active development portfolio across a diverse spectrum of real estate assets including but not limited to: Commercial Office, Hotel, Multifamily, Storage, and Retail. Given the breadth of our holdings, we use a much broader lens than most real estate venture funds as we constantly seek to expand our knowledge.
